Our Summer Internship Program is your gateway to the dynamic world of funds management. Running for 8 weeks across January and February 2026, this immersive experience offers university students a unique opportunity to:

•    work within a specific business unit
•    gain exposure to the broader MFG Asset Management business
•    contribute to meaningful projects
•    learn from industry leaders.

Whether you're passionate about investing or curious about how a leading asset manager operates, this program is designed to challenge and inspire.

Where you could work 

Interns will be placed in one of our teams, including:

Investment Teams
•    Global Equities
•    Listed Infrastructure Equities
•    Australian Equities (Airlie)
•    Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

Non-investment Teams
•    Distribution & Marketing – engage with clients and promote our investment products
•    Finance – support financial operations and reporting
•    Operations – oversee fund operations, product management, client reporting and client servicing
•    Risk, Compliance, Legal and Company Secretary – help manage legal, regulatory and operational risk               

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be assigned a real-world project aligned with your team’s focus. Projects may include:

•    investment research on a stock, sector, or theme
•    supporting our Distribution and Marketing teams with taking new products to our clients
•    data analytics and insights
•    reviewing the competitor landscape for a product or strategy
•    process optimisation
•    exploring regulatory changes and their impact.

This is your chance to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting, solve complex problems and make a genuine impact.

Who we’re looking for and what you’ll bring

We welcome applications from penultimate-year students across a wide range of disciplines, including Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, Law, Actuarial Studies, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics, who bring:
